Riot Games has been very consistent when it comes to releasing new content in their games. And now they've revealed a new addition to Valorant's agent roster. Fade is the 20th agent to be released in Valorant.
Riot's six teasers for the new agent have been leaked. In all of the teasers, Fade was seen to be tormenting the other agents by showing them an image of their worst nightmare.
Agent 'Fade' - VALORANT Cinematic Trailer Leaked by Riot
The official trailer for the new agent will be released on April 24, right after the 2022 VCT Reykjavik Grand Finals.
Who Exactly Is The New Agent?
Fade is a female agent that hails from Turkey. She possesses shadows for abilities, and uses them to torment other agents by showing them their darkest fears. If you thought Omen was scary, think again.
As players theorized, Fade’s ability set will most likely involve the use of shadow energy to manipulate the enemies mind or even deploy paranoia against them.
“Fade is the last person you want to find in the dark. But you’ll want to see where this trail leads.” Riot said.
This could hint that her ultimate ability involves total darkness and that her ultimate might be a hybrid of Omen's Paranoia and Dark Cover. There is also the possibility of her abilities being able to cripple the opponents movement and vision, which would definitely lead to a huge advantage for her teammates. Despite the fact that her role has not yet been revealed, her abilities strongly suggest that she is an initiator.
Some have theorized that Fade could be immune to Omen’s abilities since both of their powers originate from darkness. Although this is a cool theory, it would just be unfair for the enemy Omen right?
The terrifying agent will most likely be added in the game when Episode 4 Act III begins in Valorant on April 26. So, for the time being, players will have to wait to see the dark and eerie agent in action.
