Lady Bird and Little Women writer/director Greta Gerwig’s third solo outing is this time around co-written with her partner, Noah Baumbach. However, that detail is a small aspect compared to the project itself; this is the first live-action film about Barbie, based on the Mattel fashion doll of the same name. Aside from the announcement and comments from production that the film with subvert expectations (which there are plenty thanks to the legacy of the dolls and their animated depictions), every new cast member added has increased interest in the film. Check out the highlights of the confirmed cast members below.

Netflix’s new horror series, The Fall Of The House Of Usher, was about halfway through production when a misconduct investigation reported their finding that Frank Langella had acted inappropriately toward a female costar on the set. As per these findings, Langella was promptly fired, and his part is set to be recast and re-filmed immediately. This swift action rarely happens unless concrete, undeniable evidence comes up, so this time around, we can be thankful that the production quickly resolved the situation.

On April 10th, the final episode of Killing Eve aired on BBC One, concluding its most critically panned season. Though ending on the worst season is not an ideal situation for anyone involved, the legacy of the series lives on thanks to a knockout first season. Performances from lead actresses Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer always received praise, so if that’s enough to convince you, you can easily stream most of the series online right now.

We all have been to a party or a get-together that needed icebreakers to make the guests know each other better, but sometimes, some icebreakers really do get boring which can easily make things awkward. But do not fret since “Never Have I Ever” questions are just the right thing to make your party a bit more fun and spicier! So, how does it work? All players will put a hand or two up. Each person will take turns saying “Never have I ever … “ and then continue with an action or an activity that they have never done. If another person has already done that, then they put one of their fingers down or maybe to spice it up a bit, take a shot. For example, “Never have I ever shoplifted.” If your friend has already shoplifted, then they either put a finger down or take a shot. The last player standing wins.

Hailing from the Isle of Wight, this duo popped up out of nowhere to deliver a self-titled debut LP on the top-notch indie label Domino Records. Despite remaining firmly in the genre of deadpan post-punk, Wet Leg seized the zeitgeist and landed some hit debut singles, the most popular of which has nearly 15 million streams on Spotify. Their first collection of driving, exuberant pop-adjacent music had six total singles, and surprisingly the other half is of equal quality.

Dan Harmon, the creator of several TV shows including Rick and Morty, first made his mark on the nation with Community after several lower-level projects. Harmon’s investment in this Emmy-winning series is more interesting than most executive producers: as part of the show, he would re-write every episode to suit the show’s particular style and format. The theory behind it now lives on as the “story circle” method, a distilled description of a hero’s journey type storyline that can suit TV episodes and movies. If you needed an excuse to revisit Community, here are the steps you can identify in every episode (except Season 4, when Harmon was not involved with the show).

Noah Baumbach, a 21st-century film industry veteran and Academy Award nominee, follows his successful Netflix feature Marriage Story with his first-ever book adaptation. The famous 1985 postmodern fiction novel White Noise is getting its first film adaptation after decades of the rights passing between companies. The Don Delillo novel was an arresting display of satire and drama mastery, and its complexities have prevented it from reaching the big screen until now.

Though Fresh has been available since March 4th, 2022, people still seem to be watching it after all this time. The hype has not died down, and it seems like you hear of another person who just watched it and needs to tell everyone about it every week. The blend of gruesome horror, comedic levity, and social commentary is certainly effective, but the answer might just lie in the nasty premise of Fresh itself. The sheer nastiness taps into the psyche in a simple way, not ever reaching the complexity or multi-tiered terror of Hereditary or Get Out yet constantly giving off a disturbing atmosphere. That’s probably why it can get away with a few shortcomings and still come across as a successfully scary film.

Though it’s not the most common approach, many artists have sought more depth and uniqueness from their music videos by imbuing them with a story element. The newest Interpol singles, from their upcoming 2022 album, use a balance of connected storyline with traditional artful editing and choreography to evoke the mysterious, propulsive moods of the tracks. Here’s what to expect from the characters’ journey across the new Interpol songs “Toni” and “Something Changed.”

A dad joke is basically a corny and generally unfunny joke that reminds us of the types of comments made by middle-aged fathers to their children. EA hits rock bottom with its flagship multiplayer first-person shooter, Battlefield 2042 already having less than 1000 players on Steam. Battlefield games were always known to have issues during their early release period but seem to recover after a while. Sadly, this isn’t the case with Battlefield 2042 which kept going downhill and having no signs of a comeback.Battlefield 2042 was initially released in November 2021 and it has only been around for 6 months. This downfall  is quite shocking especially coming from a game on the long-running battlefield franchise. Battlefield 2042 is solely multiplayer and they have compromised the single-player campaign of previous games in the series. Since it is a multiplayer-focused game, Battlefield 2042 heavily relies on player count to be successful. The data was from SteamCharts and found by users on ResetEra. The steady decline of the game was caused by a lot of obvious and unfixed factors. Players were already pissed off with consistent bugs and content rollbacks. EA reportedly admitting that “the game wasn’t able to meet the players’ expectations,” didn’t help at all.EA has blamed the games downward spiral on various factors such as the release of Halo Infinite and the COVID-19 pandemic. Halo Infinite’s surprise launch came a mere four days earlier than Battlefield 2042's. Also, their employees were working from home for 2 years because of the virus. No matter the reason, Battlefield 2042 is still a suffering game.
