Recently, the famous British newspaper The Guardian, with over 10 million followers, announced it would stop posting on the platform, and Elon Musk’s response was less than supportive, claiming 'they don’t matter.' This has sparked a wave of celebrities, football clubs, and even political figures, including Donald Trump, to consider leaving the platform. On November 5, Musk participated in the election won by Donald Trump and was one of Trump's biggest supporters. Following his victory, Trump appointed Musk to establish the Department of Government Efficiency.

According to a report by BBC Turkish, the UK’s left-liberal newspaper The Guardian announced that it had stopped sharing news on its X account as of November 13. The newspaper cited "disturbing content" on the platform, such as racism and conspiracy theories, as the reason for leaving X.

Additionally, prominent CNN anchor Don Lemon, Germany's historic football club St. Pauli, and Austrian Airlines also announced their departure from X.

The hashtag “X-odus”—a combination of “X” and “exodus”—is being used on the platform to highlight the wave of departures.

Calls for a mass exodus from X are also being made ahead of January 20, the date when Trump is set to take the oath of office.
