Turkey Public Salary Gap to Exceed 100K TL by 2027
The raise to be applied to civil servant and retiree salaries in January is not merely limited to the total increase rate. The amounts to be added to the pockets of public employees with different titles reveal a striking difference between the ranks. The salary gap between a high school graduate civil servant and a specialist doctor exceeds 100,000 liras, while various additional payment items, from spouse and child support to collective agreement bonuses, are also being updated. With the anticipated increase set to take effect in January, public servant salaries will exhibit significant variations based on title. According to calculations, a high school graduate civil servant will receive 75,848 lira, while the salary of a university graduate civil servant will rise to 78,928 lira. This picture will further change when title and seniority differences are added to these two base figures.
A public worker at the level of branch manager will earn 115,690 lira, and a specialist teacher will receive 99,548 lira. A senior police officer will take home 109,351 lira, whereas the salary of a specialist physician will reach 184,405 lira. This implies that the gap between a high school graduate civil servant and a specialist physician will exceed 108,000 lira.
What will be the pension salary in 2027?
The issue of inflation is not only a matter of concern for active employees, but it also directly affects retirees. According to survey data, in which the Central Bank has set the end-of-year inflation forecast at 29.61 percent, the pensions of SSK and BağKur retirees are expected to increase by approximately 10.07 percent. With this calculation, the lowest pension, which is currently 23,552 lira, will rise to about 25,924 lira.
On the other hand, the increase rate for retired civil servants is projected at 8.01 percent. Consequently, the lowest pension for retired civil servants will increase to 34,052 lira. The exact figures will be clarified in conjunction with inflation data for the remainder of the year.

Not only the salary items, but also the additional aids paid to officials are being updated in the new wage table. The spousal aid is set to rise to approximately 3,868 liras, while the child aid is calculated at 851 liras for the 0-6 age group, and 425 liras and 42 cents for those over 6 years old.
The collective bargaining bonus is expected to increase to approximately 1,203 liras, while the allowance given to citizens over 65 years old without any income will also rise to about 7,838 liras. Similar increases are anticipated for disability pensions and home care payments. The final figures for all these items will be officially announced after the end-of-year inflation is finalized.
