Eminem’s song ‘Godzilla’ has reached a billion streams on the popular music streaming platform Spotify.
The Michigan rapper’s 2018 single, which features the late Juice WRLD joined Spotify’s Billions Club on Monday when the song was streamed by a user for the billionth time.
Eminem is already one of the most successful artists in rap and hip-hop and this achievement marks yet another milestone in his career.

Eminem is no stranger to success
Only 306 songs of the millions and millions uploaded to Spotify have reached a billion streams to this date.
‘Godzilla’ is Marshall Mathers’ sixth single to join the Billions club, joining his songs ‘Lose Yourself,’ ‘Til I Collapse,’ ‘Without Me,’ ‘The Real Slim Shady,’ and ‘Love the Way You Lie.’
The latter three singles all hit a billion streams in 2022, and with ‘Godzilla,’ Eminem has now got a fourth song to hit the mark this year.
The song has also seen Juice WRLD make his fourth appearance in the billion streams chart, alongside his songs ‘Lucid Dreams,’ ‘All Girls are the Same’ and ‘Robbery.’
Eminem, now 49 years-old, has won multiple Grammys and several other awards across his long rap career, and is one of the all-time greats in the hip-hop genre.
He released his first album ‘Infinite,’ in 1996 and followed that up with the hugely successful ‘The Slim Shady LP,’ in February 1999.
That project saw the rapper achieve mainstream success and since then he has released 9 albums, which have all been best-sellers.
His most recent work came in 2020, titled ‘Music to be Murdered By,’ and went platinum in the USA. This year the self titled ‘Rap God,’ released a compilation album of his best hits of the last decade and more.
‘Curtain Call 2’ hit the stores on August fifth of this year and is already certified gold album in sales in New Zealand. The two-disc project features some of Eminem’s greatest hits from the second decade of his career, including ‘Godzilla,’ ‘Rap God,’ ‘Not Afraid,’ and ‘Fast Lane,’ featuring Royce da 5’9.
The rapper is far from finished with his illustrious career though, recording two singles this year.
‘The King and I,’ features Cee Lo Green while ‘From the D2 to the LBC,’ is assisted by Snoop Dogg.
The artist has also helped out other musicians on their songs, including Cordae’s ‘Parables’ remix and ‘Use This gospel,’ with DJ Khaled and Kanye West on their ‘God Did’ album.
