Amazon Prime Video Investigates on ‘The Unsolved Murder of Beverly Lynn Smith’
Amazon Prime Video is on the mission to explore the unsolved murder of Beverly Lynn Smith through an original content film, The Unsolved Murder of Beverly Lynn Smith.
The series follows the controversial and cold murder case of Beverly Lynn Smith in her Oshawa, Ontario, residence with a shot in her head. Although the case goes mute, the police didn’t forget the murder. Forty years later, the case resurrects.
In the premiere episode, we see the key suspect of the murder, drawn into a connection over a mutual fishing bond.
The Real Case
Beverly was a twenty-two-year-old mother of a ten-month-old-daughter during her death in 1974. Despite the widespread media broadcasting and police investigation, the case went silent. Almost forty years later, an idea came to refresh an inquiry into the matter.
Alan D. Smith (not related to Beverly), living across the street this time, was the victim. He maintained his innocence throughout the turns and twists.
Production Team
The first season of The Unsolved Murder of Beverly Lynn Smith is produced by Jonas Prupas, Catherine Legge, Tara Jan, Nathalie Bibeau, and Courtney Dobbins.
