After leaving Netflix, Scott Stuber has embarked on his first major film project, collaborating with Gotham Group's Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson to create a film about the legendary singer-songwriter known as The Boss, Bruce Springsteen.
Scott Cooper is set to write and direct a biographical drama titled "Deliver Me from Nowhere," focusing on Bruce Springsteen's creation process for his 1982 album Nebraska.
The project started during the recording sessions for Springsteen and the E Street Band's monumental hit album 'Born in the USA' and is based on Warren Zanes' book released last year.
Jeremy Allen White, known for "The Bear," has been selected as the top choice to portray Springsteen.
Negotiations with A24 for the film's production are ongoing, with filming expected to begin in New Jersey in the fall after the completion of 'The Bear' Season 4 in June.

While the album's title track was initially about a desperate Vietnam vet, it became such a massive anthem that its meaning was often misunderstood.
The Boss has written or lent songs for films that resonate with his themes, winning the Best Original Song Oscar for "Streets of Philadelphia" in 1994.
Springsteen and his manager Jon Landau are actively involved in the project, with more details to be shared in the future. While he has previously worked with Thom Zimny on films about specific albums, this project marks a new experience for the star.
