New Dacia Striker to Be Produced Only in Turkey Comes With an SCT Tax Advantage
Under the colossal investment plan of 400 million euros, a joint venture between OYAK and Renault Group, the eagerly anticipated new CCrossover model, Dacia Striker, has been officially unveiled. This new model, which will be manufactured at the Oyak Renault factory in Bursa, will be the first and only one to be produced in Turkey. On the other hand, Dacia Striker will be sold with a Special Consumption Tax advantage.
A tax advantage will be provided for those with a localization rate exceeding 40%.
The Dacia Striker is set to be manufactured at OYAK Renault's factories in Bursa, bringing with it a wave of excitement in the automotive industry. The 'Mild HybridG 140' and 'Hybrid 155' versions of the Striker will boast a domesticity rate exceeding 40%. This high level of local content will provide the vehicle with a Special Consumption Tax (SCT) advantage under the current taxation system in Turkey.
Moreover, the Dacia Striker pushes the boundaries of its segment with its design. The vehicle masterfully blends the high driving position and rugged terrain capabilities of an SUV model, the spacious interior and versatility of a station wagon, and the aerodynamic efficiency and high performance of a sedan within a single Crossover body. The model, with a length of 4.62 meters and a height of 1.53 meters, also stands out with its ground clearance. The vehicle winks at off-road driving by offering an axle height of 20 cm in its 4x4 version and 19 cm in its 4x2 version.
When will the Dacia Striker go on sale in Turkey?
The date for the eco-conscious, nature-friendly 'Starkle' to hit the roads of Turkey has been set. This domestic crossover, Dacia Striker, which stands out with its use of recycled materials, is expected to disrupt the entire industry. The Striker will officially go on sale in Turkey in December 2026. Both its price-performance ratio and the tax advantage brought by its domestic production have already put the Striker on the radar of car enthusiasts.
The Dacia Striker is making a first in the automotive world with its highly energetic engine range under the hood. The series includes the 'Mild HybridG 140' engine option, which combines dual fuel (Gasoline/LPG) technology with a 48V mild hybrid system for the first time in the world. In addition, the 'Hybrid 155' option, which offers up to 80% fully electric driving in city use, will also be listed. The heart of this advanced technology, the HR18 hybrid engine block, will also be produced at the Oyak Horse facilities in Bursa. For those targeting challenging road conditions, the 'Hybrid 150 4x4' version equipped with 5 different driving modes will come into play.
