Commerzbank Raises Its Outlook for Gold and Silver
Citizens investing in precious metals like gold and silver are keeping a close eye on the reports and predictions of experts. Most recently, the German banking giant, Commerzbank, has raised its forecast for gold and silver prices in a published report. The bank has revised its previous expectation for gold in 2026 from $4,200 to $4,400. Moreover, it has announced an expectation of $59 for silver. As of today, the price of an ounce of gold is trading at $4,224, while in Turkey, the price of a gram of gold has surged to 5,760 liras.
Due to the rapid increase in gold prices in October, there was a significant interest in gram gold among the citizens, resulting in a scarcity of gold in the Grand Bazaar.
After a rapid retreat, gold prices have left investors, who had invested during its ascension phase, in a state of uncertainty regarding whether the precious metal will rise again.
Commerzbank, one of the German banking giants, has revised its previously published 2026 gold price forecast, adjusting it upwards.
The gold ounce expectation has risen from $4,200 to $4,400.
According to the latest report published by Commerzbank, the price of gold per ounce, which is currently trading at $4,224, is projected to average $4,400 in 2026. The German bank's new forecast indicates a 4.7% increase in gold prices.
Moreover, Commerzbank has also released a report concerning silver prices. The bank anticipates a rise in silver as well. Previously predicting a price of $50 for silver, the bank has now revised its estimate up to $59.
