Turning Red Lines Up for Friday, March 11 Release on Disney+

Disney + has done it again with their Turning Red film set to premiere on Friday, March 11. The movie revolves around a teenager, Mei Lee's family, with a history of changing into giant red pandas under certain conditions. The filming mainly takes part in Toronto and its environs.

This movie promises a fun teenage story you should undoubtedly consider.

Synopsis

Mei Lee is the dorky and confident 13-year old battling between the ups and downs of puberty and remaining as her mother's obedient daughter. Just like any other teenage mother, Ming never lets Mei away from her sight. She is overprotective per se. 

Besides the change in her body, moods, interests, and relationships, Mei turns into a giant red panda whenever she is too excited. This trend occurs to her whole family. When Mei tries to find answers behind the enormous panda transformation, she learns that her forefathers had a paranormal relationship with the red pandas.

Cast

The primary cast consists of Rosalie Chiang’s voice as Mei Lee, Sandra Oh as Ming, Mei's mother, Orion Lee as Sin Lee, Mei's father, and Wai Ching Ho as Grandma. 

Other casts voicing Mei's close friends are Ava Morse as Miriam, Hyein Park as Abby, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Priya. Let's not forget Josh Levi, Jordan Fisher, Finneas O'Connell, and Grayson Villanueva, playing as members of four town voices.

Release date

Turning Red is set to land on our screens on Friday, March 11 this year. It will be available in both the U.K and the U.S on Disney+. In the meantime, you can watch the official trailer for Turning Red in the video below.
