‘The Boys Season 3’: Release Date, Cast, Plot, and Trailer

‘If you like ‘The Boys’, you've got more of it.’

This is what the executive producer Seth Rogen said in his interview with the Comic-Con: At Home back in July 2020.

The film started rolling on February 24, 2021 for the third season, and it was officially tied up back on September 17, 2021.

The Boys season 3 will officially land on Prime Video on June 3, 2022.

Supernatural Jensen Ackles is taking on the role of Soldier Boy, The Walking Dead star Laurie Holden as the Crimson Countless, Nick Wechsler is Blue Hawk, Katia Winter (Dexter, Sleepy Hollow) is playing Russian mob boss Little Nina.

There's also been speculation that The Walking Dead and Supernatural's Jeffrey Dean Morgan could be joining the cast.

Other new faces include Dexter’s Sean Patrick Flanery as Gunpowder, Revenge's Nick Wechsler as Blue Hawk and Nancy Drew’s Miles Gaston Villanueva as Supersonic, Orphan Black's Kristin Booth, Marcella's Jack Doolan, who are playing TNT Twins Tessa and Tommy, and The Man in the High Castle's Frances Turner. 

As for the rest of the cast, here's who's returning: Antony Starr (Homelander), Jessie T Usher (A-Train), Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko), Nate Mitchell (Black Noir), Jack Quaid (Hughie Campbell), Laz Alonso (Mother's Milk), Erin Moriarty (Annie/Starlight), Chace Crawford (The Deep), Dominique McElligott (Queen Maeve), Claudia Doumit (Victoria Neuman), Karl Urban (Billy Butcher), Giancarlo Esposito (Stan Edgar), and Tomer Kapon (Frenchie), among others.

Eric Kripke revealed on Twitter the title of the initial episode of Season 3 which is ‘Payback'. Its more likely to hint at Payback’s arrival and might be a subtle tease about how Homelander plans to exact revenge. 

If it does, we could get a flashback episode of Soldier Boy’s backstory. 

Kripke told Deadline in June 2021, 'A big element of the comics actually are flashbacks to World War II and Vietnam. I always really loved it because you got to see how the superhero phenomenon didn’t just affect the present, but how it affected parts of the past as well.'

You've got your first teaser right here. As expected, Homelander looks absolutely psychotic as his grinning mask starts to slip in front of a horde of photographers and a very nervous Ashley (Colby Minifie).
