The video succinctly captures the "unseen" and rather harsh face of high-altitude mountaineering. Each of these injuries experienced by the climbers has specific physical and environmental causes;

Lip and Skin Damage: The extreme dry air at high altitudes, freezing cold, and intense UV rays reflecting off the snow can scorch and crack the skin.
Foot Blisters: Hours of friction and moisture (sweat) inside rigid mountaineering boots can cause the skin to blister and peel.
Nail Loss: Particularly during the descent, micro-traumas caused by the toes constantly hitting the front of the boot can lead to blood pooling under the nail, resulting in nail loss.
Body Bruises: Colliding with rocks during the climb, carrying heavy equipment, and changes in blood circulation due to low oxygen can easily lead to bruising on the body.
Facial Swelling (Edema): Due to low pressure and lack of oxygen, the body's retention of fluid in tissues can cause noticeable swelling, particularly around the face and eyes.
