Season 1 of 'Lies and Deceit' was originally planned for November 2021 release but it was moved and set to a later date to March 4, 2022 on the streaming giant Netflix.
'Lies and Deceit' Synopsis
Laura Munar, played by Angela Cremonte, is a literature instructor in the series. She has a nagging hunch that she was date-raped by a well-known surgeon one morning (played by Javier Rey). This exact meeting is revisited in the mystery-thriller series.
Laura Munar is also seeking justice in an ongoing legal lawsuit against the surgeon, although the surgeon denies her account of what transpired.
It's a guarantee that this Spanish series will tell us all sides of the story, leaving us to ponder whether Laura or Javier is the actual liar.
