In the realm of horror television, few series have left as lasting an impression as Ryan Murphy's 'American Horror Story.' For nearly a decade, fans have followed the show's dark, twisted tales. However, with the arrival of Season 12, titled 'Delicate,' something extraordinary has occurred, drawing viewers back into the chilling world of 'American Horror Story.' The reason behind this resurgence? None other than the magnetic presence of Kim Kardashian.

'Delicate' is the latest installment in the 'American Horror Story' anthology, available for streaming on Hulu and airing on FX. The season revolves around Anna Victoria Alcott, portrayed by Emma Roberts, who becomes ensnared in a malevolent plot tied to her pregnancy. While the series has become synonymous with gore and the grotesque, Season 12 stands out due to the inclusion of Kardashian, who brings a fresh and captivating dimension to the story.

From the very first moments of the season premiere, it becomes evident that something is amiss as Anna embarks on yet another fertility appointment with her husband, played by Matt Czuchry. The discomfort and tension are palpable as Anna experiences sharp pains following her egg retrieval. Familiar horror tropes emerge, including a mysterious doctor, dubious prescriptions, and the ominous presence of a woman who may or may not be Anna's stalker.

Regrettably, the premiere episode falters in offering anything groundbreaking within the horror genre, relying on overused plot devices that seasoned horror enthusiasts have encountered repeatedly. The chemistry between Roberts and Czuchry feels lackluster, and the uninspiring writing further dampens their performances.

However, amidst the gloom, Kim Kardashian emerges as a radiant beacon of brilliance. Widely recognized for her reality TV persona and often dismissed as superficial by some, Kardashian fully embraces her Valley girl image in her portrayal of Siobhan, Anna's concerned publicist. She delivers her lines with a dry wit that slices through the mundane, expertly jabbing at everyone from Hilary Swank to film directors.

Kardashian's character, Siobhan, continues to captivate as Anna secures a coveted late-night appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.' In a moment of distress, Siobhan humorously advises Anna against crying to prevent puffiness for the show. The dialogue includes clever references to Bravolebrities, an enjoyable touch for fans of reality TV.

While Kardashian's acting may not earn her Emmy accolades, she undeniably injects an element of high camp into the season, much like previous 'American Horror Story' alumni Jessica Lange and Lady Gaga. Her willingness to embrace her character's persona and deliver on the show's campy potential is praiseworthy.

'American Horror Story: Delicate' offers a refreshing take on the horror genre, infusing elements of feminism and suspense while drawing inspiration from Danielle Valentine's novel 'Delicate Condition.' The ensemble cast, including Emma Roberts, Kim Kardashian, Cara Delevingne, and others, elevates the season with their performances.

In a genre often critiqued for its predictability, 'Delicate' presents an opportunity for viewers to experience horror through a new and exciting lens. As we venture further into the season, Kim Kardashian's portrayal of Siobhan remains a captivating highlight and a testament to her evolving career beyond the realm of reality television.
