Hulu’s ‘Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence’ Brings the Never-Witnessed-Before Story of Larry Ray

Fasten your belts- we are moving to Hulu this February for the first season of Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence. The series is a true crime documentary that tells the story of Larry Ray, a 62-year-old accused of sex trafficking, conspiracy, extortion, and other charges at Sarah Lawrence College. 

Ray has been in and out of court since his arrest in 2019, having been denied bail several times. The first project to examine Ray's story is Hulu's Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence.

Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence brings to screen the story of Larry Ray, who manipulated college students at the infamous Sarah Lawrence College. Then aged and a former CIA agent, Ray moved to his daughter's house based at Sarah Lawrence College, using his time to bond with female students and win their trust. 

However, as time passed, Ray started manipulating the students ordering them to send him money, stay within his orders and for sexual gains for nearly ten years. The Hulu documentary series presents interviews with Ray's victims as they narrate their torture by the sex trafficker. 

They tell how Ray would make the students consume Adderall, a drug that raises the body's activeness and physically abuse them for disobeying his rules. Ray later started a sex cult with a group of students.

Yea! Hulu uploaded the official trailer for its upcoming crime documentary series a month ago via YouTube. In 2 minutes and 30 seconds, the trailer introduces Larry Ray's 2019 charges of sex trafficking, money laundering, and racketeering.

It proceeds with unbelievable and disturbing stories from some of Ray's victims as they explain how they fell into his trap. 'He just looked like a dad,' one of the victims narrates how they trusted Ray before he showed them his true colors.

Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence is chiefly produced by Zach Heinzerling, alongside Jon Bardin, Liz Garbus, and Dan Cogan. 

Heinzerling also serves as the show director with Story Syndicate as the production company behind the series' success.

Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence premieres on Thursday, February 9, 2023, with three episodes running for approximately 70 minutes each. 

The show will be available only on Hulu for existing subscribers.
