‘Dragon Age: Absolution’: Essentials Details About Netflix’s Animation Series Based on A Video Game

Netflix unveiled the official Dragon Age: Absolution trailer three weeks ago ahead of its first season premiere. 

Dragon Age: Absolution is an upcoming animated show based on BioWare’s video game series of the same title.

The first season of Dragon Age: Absolution centres on Miriam, an ex-slave who secludes herself from everyone else. Everything starts when Miriam acquires a job to get the Circulum Infinitus, a blood magic object, through theft together with several other warriors. 

The plan overturns, forcing Miriam to utilize her powers to save herself and the team of warriors. It also presents Miriam with an opportunity to encounter her horrific past, which she has spent years striving to escape.

It’s approximately three weeks since Netflix released the official Dragon Age: Absolution trailer. In 2 minutes, the trailer kicks off with Mirriam flashbacking on her tough young days. 

Roland approaches Miriam alongside other warriors and offers them a dangerous job to acquire an extremely risky magic object. 

The trailer proceeds with Miriam developing heroic powers during the missions as she strives to keep running from her messy past. Will Miriam get back to being a slave again?

Dragon Age: Absolution is chiefly produced by Mairghread Scott, who also serves as the showrunner and writer of the project alongside Tim Sheridan and Mae Catt. 

Other chief producers include John Epler, Matthew Goldman, and Chris Bain. The show is a co-project of BioWare and Red Dog Culture House.

The main characters for Netflix’s upcoming show are Kimberly Brooks (Miriam), Ashley Burch (Qwydoin), Zehra Fazal (Tassia), Josh Keaton (Rezaren), Keston John (Lacklon), and Phil LaMarr (Roland). 

Other characters include Sumalee Montano (Hira) and Matthew Mercer (Fairbanks).

The first season of Dragon Age: Absolution will land on Friday, December 9th 2022, with six episodes.
