While the main index in Borsa Istanbul has been following a flat and stagnant course for months, the unusual price movements in sub-stocks have become the most important agenda item in financial markets. According to a report by Tolga Uğur from Sözcü, the share values of some companies, which can be considered at the scale of SMEs in terms of the number of employees, and for which brokerage firms have not even prepared analysis or research reports, have multiplied. A company with 19 employees surpassed Koç and Sabancı, becoming the 'second most valuable company'.

One of the most notable surges in the stock market is taking place on the front of Hedef Holding. Excluding QNB, Hedef Holding, which holds the title of the second most valuable company of Borsa Istanbul after Aselsan, employs only 19 people. Despite announcing a loss in the first quarter of the year, the company, whose share price has increased tenfold this year, managed to exceed a market value of 800 billion lira, according to a report by Tolga Uğur from Sözcü.

The company has surpassed the total market value of Koç Holding and Sabancı Holding, which employ approximately 200,000 people across Turkey.

A similar scenario unfolded in the factoring and maritime sectors. Destek Factoring, whose market value hovers above 500 billion lira and has risen to the position of the fourth most valuable company on the stock exchange, outstripped the country's largest banks, established construction firms, and giant holdings in the ranking with its 244 employees. On the side of Özata Maritime, the situation has taken on an even more striking dimension. The shipyard company, whose employee count dwindled from 216 to 203 within the year, recorded a record increase of 28 times in its share price this year. The company continues to trade with a valuation approaching 320 billion lira, making it the 10th most valuable company on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
