Recognized as one of the most unforgettable figures in Turkish theater and cinema, Adile Naşit, whose real name is Adela Özcan, has left an indelible mark on the industry.

Recognized as one of the most unforgettable figures in Turkish theater and cinema, Adile Naşit, whose real name is Adela Özcan, has left an indelible mark on the industry.

Born into a family of artists, Naşit was introduced to the stage at a very tender age. This seasoned actress began her career at the Istanbul City Theatre and over the years, graced the stages of the Muammer Karaca and Gazanfer Özcan theatres before transitioning to the silver screen.

Although she had her first cinema experience in 1947, it was in the 1970s that she truly made her mark with the Arzu Film school. Especially, with her roles in a host of iconic productions directed by Ertem Eğilmez such as Neşeli Günler, Bizim Aile, Gülen Gözler, Aile Şerefi, she became one of the most beloved faces of Turkish cinema.

When Adile Naşit is mentioned, the first character that undoubtedly comes to mind is Hafize Ana from Hababam Sınıfı. Her scenes strolling through school corridors with a bell in hand, and the warm relationship she established with giants of the industry like Kemal Sunal, Münir Özkul, and Tarık Akan, are still considered among the most unforgettable moments of Yeşilçam.

Her work was not limited to cinema alone. In 1981, she earned the title of 'Storytelling Aunt' with her stories for children on the TRT program Uykudan Önce. Her stories, which always began with 'My little lambs...', touched the childhood of millions of children.

However, Adile Naşit's life was not only shaped by successes, but also by profound sorrows. Her son Ahmet, born from her first husband Ziya Keskiner, was battling a congenital heart condition. The loss of Ahmet, who passed away during surgery at just 15, marked the most devastating turning point in the esteemed artist's life.

According to those close to her, Adile Naşit never celebrated her birthday after the death of her son and tried to alleviate her profound grief through her work, her love for theatre, and her affection for children.

In 1986, she was diagnosed with colon cancer. The artist, who underwent treatment for approximately a year and a half, tried to continue her work as long as her health allowed, but was forced to spend her last months in hospital due to the progression of the disease.

Adile Naşit passed away at the age of 57 on December 11, 1987, at the Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine Hospital. As thousands of people bid her farewell on her final journey, Turkey said goodbye to one of its most beloved artists.

Recently, a snapshot that has been rapidly spreading on social media has once again catapulted into the spotlight.

Recently, a snapshot that has been rapidly spreading on social media has once again catapulted into the spotlight.

A hospital photograph of the veteran actress Adile Naşit, taken a day before her death, quickly garnered thousands of comments after it was shared with the caption 'The last photo of Adile Naşit before her passing.'

The authenticity of the photograph was at the center of the debate.

Some social media users argued that the image was entirely generated by artificial intelligence, citing the excessive clarity of facial details, the modern-looking colors, and the overall image quality. Particularly due to the recent surge in the production of fake images of old celebrities, many users approached this photo with skepticism.

On the contrary, a significant number of users contended that the photo was not entirely fabricated by artificial intelligence. They argued that it was a genuine hospital photo that had been in archives for years, and it was merely restored, sharpened, colorized, and edited using modern technology.

Today's artificial intelligence-supported restoration tools can enhance old and low-resolution photos, fill in missing details, and colorize black and white frames.

Upon examining the photograph itself, the direction of the light, body anatomy, hands, clothing wrinkles, and details in the hospital environment appear to be consistent with a real shoot. The photo does not exhibit the excessive fingers, anatomical distortions, or physical inconsistencies often found in artificial intelligence productions. Therefore, the available evidence does not support the claim that the image was entirely generated from scratch by artificial intelligence.
