The employees, on the other hand, have voiced their disappointment over unkept promises.

The brand, which was sold to Dr. Oetker in 1977, later changed hands. There's bad news for Cargill, which was bought by the US in 2011. The brand has decided to shut down its Lichtenrade factory.
The union expressed its displeasure over the layoffs.
The factory in the city provides employment for 43 people. The Food, Beverage, and Catering Union (NGG) has vehemently opposed the layoffs. In a statement from the NGG, it was noted that the closure was announced less than three months ago, adding, 'We call on Cargill to come to its senses and sit down to negotiate with the workers' council. The company does not care about the welfare of its employees.'
On the other hand, it was stated that the factory workers have expressed in previous meetings that the promises given to them for years have not been kept.
