The escalating tension between the USA and Venezuela has brought concerns of a potential conflict to the forefront. While Washington argues that the Caracas administration is threatening regional security, Venezuela is issuing stern warnings against the interventionist policies of the USA. Analysts suggest that the likelihood of a direct military conflict between the two countries is low, yet both sides are flexing their military muscles. Experts, however, indicate that diplomatic and economic tensions could escalate. These developments are being closely monitored both in Latin America and on the global stage.
Preparations for war are escalating along the shores of Venezuela.
The US has initiated its most extensive military deployment in recent years in the Caribbean. Over a two-month period, warships, fighter and bomber aircraft, marines, unmanned aerial vehicles, and spy planes were dispatched to the region; international agencies reported that approximately 6,500 US troops were stationed in the area.
During this time, B52 long-range bomber aircraft conducted exercises off the coast of Venezuela. US President Donald Trump approved the deployment of the CIA to Venezuela; among the CIA's tasks are plans for assassinations targeting Maduro. The US media also reported that B1 model warplanes capable of carrying 34 tons of bombs were sent to the region from Texas.
There are 10 U.S. warships stationed off the coast of the Caribbean.

Venezuelan Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López, issued stern warnings concerning the U.S. military presence in the Caribbean. He characterized the approaching deployment as an 'unprecedented military threat in the last century,' affirming that preparations are underway and they are resolute in their commitment to defend the country.
"We will fight for our honor."
In a statement made on Friday, October 24, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro emphasized that the honor and independence of South America were won on the battlefields and, if necessary, they would be defended on the same grounds. Maduro stated, 'We earned our honor and independence on the battlefield, and we will defend them there if we must.'
