They are accused of planning to invade Gonave Island, home to 87,000 people and part of Haiti, with the intention of exterminating the male population and enslaving the women and children for sexual purposes. Gavin Rivers Weisenburg and Christopher Thomas had hatched a plan to seize control of Gonave Island, a part of one of the world's poorest countries, Haiti. These two young men had envisioned utilizing homeless individuals to assist in their invasion scheme. As part of their preparations for the takeover, they had embarked on learning how to sail, along with other beneficial training sessions.

The objective was reportedly to turn women and children into "sex slaves".

According to the indictment by the prosecutor's office, two young men who were arrested had allegedly planned to invade an island inhabited by approximately 87,000 people, with the intent to annihilate all the male inhabitants. It was revealed that the duo from Texas, including Christopher Thomas who was found to be an active serviceman in the U.S. Air Force, also plotted to enslave the women and children on the island for sexual exploitation.

The FBI further discovered that the two had been amassing weapons and ammunition for their intended invasion.

Should Gavin Rivers Weisenburg and Christopher Thomas be found guilty, they could potentially face life imprisonment.
