The last three words of any season of Ozark usually come down to one question: who will live? All the money and power in the world can’t stop bullets. And who knows what dangers lurk outside the city limits for our favorite characters?
It’s the coldest time of the year, and fans have a lot of burning questions — but only seven episodes to find out the answers. That’s where we come in.
How will Ozark end? We’re going to take a guess about what lies ahead in this finale.
Mel could be working for the cartel.
He's a sneaky guy and has proven that he is a good PI. Some of the plot holes in “The Big Sleep” were resolved when it was revealed that Mel had been spying on Agent Maya Miller. He then called the cartel and gave them her phone number, but how did he get that information?
Another argument supporting this theory is what happened right before Helen was shot and killed. When Mel saw Jonah and Charlotte, who were sitting at the front of the church, sneak out and hide in Buddy’s tomb.
How would Mel have known that unless he was working with Omar Navarro? After all, he was the last person to see them sneak out.
But there are also holes in this theory. It doesn’t explain why Mel would be hired by Helen’s husband in the first place.
Mel and Agent Miller will bring down the Byrdes
A whole new set of danger awaits for the Byrde family. While we don’t know all the details surrounding this particular moment, we do know it involves illegal substances. .
There’s a federal investigation in the works, and that’s bad news for everyone involved.
With the FBI’s Agent Miller still lurking in the background and her alliance with private investigator Mel growing stronger by the day, there may be more danger looming for Marty and Wendy than they realize.
The signs are there. Now it’s time to wait and see whether or not they come to fruition.
