Mclellan, who says that men who used to ignore her are now showering her with messages, retorted, 'You didn't give me a chance then, now I don't even respond.'

29-year-old nurse Cara Mclellan, who lives in Glasgow, Scotland, spent a significant portion of her life being bothered by her excess weight. The young woman, who weighed 105 kilograms at her heaviest, says she struggled for years with the psychological pressure created by being the only overweight person in her group of friends.
At one point, Cara, who had lost a lot of self-confidence and even avoided looking in mirrors, was hiding her body behind loose and dark-colored clothes. However, a shocking breakup in 2023 became a turning point for her.
She Lost 29 Kilograms Using Her Own Methods
After the breakup, Cara made a radical decision and started a process using her own methods, without resorting to any artificial ways that are popular recently but not recommended by doctors.
The young nurse completely eliminated high-calorie foods and processed products from her life and switched to a protein-based diet. By dedicating a few days a week to exercise, she managed to lose 29 kilograms on her own in about a year.
Cara Dropped to 57 Kilos After Skin Surgery!
Cara, who lost 29 kilos, was not done with her journey yet. Rapid weight loss brought along skin sagging. Therefore, she took another radical step and underwent surgery. She paid a total of 24,000 pounds (approximately 1 million TL) for liposuction, tummy tuck, and breast lift surgeries.
During the operation, about 5 liters of fat was removed from her sagging skin. With the surgery process and subsequent weight loss, Cara dropped to 57 kilos, marking a total transformation of 48 kilos.
'They Used to Ignore Me, Now I Don't Respond'
Cara, who still struggles to get used to her new look and sometimes reflexively heads to the plus-size sections while shopping, expressed her feeling of 'revenge' on social media after the change with these words:
'During school years or when I went out with my friends, men would completely ignore me, they would only show interest in my thin friends next to me. Now, the men who didn't look at me back then are flooding me with messages on social media. But I don't respond to any of them. You didn't give me a chance then, why should I give you one now?'
