‘Stranger Things’ Returns to Netflix With Season 4: Release Date, Trailer, Cast, Plot and A Lot More

After nearly three years of anticipation, we'll finally be returning to Hawkins (among other places) for the fourth season of 'Stranger Things,' which will premiere in May 2022.

‘Stranger Things 4’, the forthcoming fourth season of the American science fiction horror drama television series 'Stranger Things,' will be published in two parts, the first on May 27, 2022, and the second five weeks later on July 1, 2022, exclusively via Netflix's streaming service. 

The show's creators, the Duffer Brothers, along with Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Iain Paterson, have continued to produce the fourth season, which will contain nine episodes.

Stranger Things 4 was officially confirmed on September 30, 2019, as the fourth and penultimate season of Stranger Things. Unlike previous seasons, this one is divided into two volumes, with the first volume of five episodes set to premiere on Netflix on May 27, 2022, and the second volume of four episodes set to premiere five weeks later on July 1, 2022.

The fourth season, like the previous ones, features a time jump, beginning in April 1986, and will travel to places other than Hawkins, Indiana, such as California and Russia.

The official Stranger Things Youtube and Twitter accounts set a countdown for the season 4 teaser, which will be released at 10 a.m. on April 12, 2022. EST and featured the Upside Down, the Creel House, and new Upside Down monsters.

It's been six months since Hawkins was terrorized and destroyed by The Battle of Starcourt. Our group of friends is separated for the first time as a result of the aftermath, and negotiating the complexity of high school hasn't made things any simpler. A new and terrifying supernatural menace emerges at this most vulnerable time, posing a horrible puzzle that, if answered, could ultimately put an end to the Upside Down's atrocities.

Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, and Cara Buono will continue to star in the program, with Brett Gelman being upgraded to series regular.
