He believes this approach provides him with a wealth of information about the person in question, far surpassing the few photos and brief biography offered by a dating app.
However, there's a privacy aspect to these investigations conducted via LinkedIn. Given that the platform reveals to a certain extent who has visited user profiles, some individuals prefer to remain unnoticed by the other party. Consequently, it's noted that there are users who create fake accounts to comfortably scrutinize their potential partners. The professional network seems to have morphed into an FBI dossier overnight.

The story of Amal Hagisufi, a financial advisor living in San Diego, and Moustafa Madkaur, who works in the banking sector, is a striking example of this.
Hagisufi reached out to Madkaur via LinkedIn for a position in her team. However, Madkaur initially declined the job offer due to the considerable distance between them. After spotting Hagisufi on the dating app, Plenty of Fish, Madkaur reconnected with her on LinkedIn.
