'Marvel Studios Legends: Drax & Mantis' Lays the Ultimate Foundation for 'The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special'

Disney+ announced it would launch an episode of Marvel Studios Legends: Drax & Mantis, just days before the debut of another Marvel Studios television film, Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special. 

Guardians of the Galaxy is a 2014 superhero film produced by Marvel Studios. It is followed by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) featuring Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Gamora, Nebula, Mantis, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket and Groot.

The episode, directed by James Gunn, seeks to revisit a pair of Marvel Cinematic Universe outstanding moments, heroes, and villains with Drax and Mantis in the leading roles. 

Marvel Studios Legends: Drax & Mantis will mainly focus on what transpired before more than what's upcoming, with events from Drax and Mantis across their past experiences in the Marvel Studios.

The trailer offers more profound descriptions of the upcoming presentations, bringing several characters on board.

The presentation is written and directed by James Gunn, who has been consistent with the other Galaxy installments. Gunn also serves as the chief producer alongside Simon Hatt, Sara Smith, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, Louis D'Esposito, and Kevin Feige. 

The special is Marvel Studio's project for Disney+ alongside The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special, which will debut very soon on Friday, November 25 2022.

The Marvel Studios' upcoming project boasts the incredible talents of two Guardians of the Galaxy members- Dave Bautista as Drax and Pom Klementieff as Mantis. 

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special also presents Chris Patt as Peter Quill, Zoe Saldanã as Gamora, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Vin Diesel as Groot, and Maria Bakalova voicing Cosmo the space dog.

Marvel Studios Legends: Drax & Mantis premieres on Wednesday, November 23rd, setting the pace for Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special, which will land on Friday, November 25th 2022.
