‘He's Expecting’ is an upcoming Japanese Netflix Original comedy-drama streaming television series based on the manga Hiyama Kentarou no Ninshin by author Eri Sakai. It tells the story of one man's experience being pregnant. It stars Takumi Saitoh as Kentaro Hiyama, alongside Juri Ueno.

‘He's Expecting’ Storyline
The novel is set in an universe where men can conceive and give birth in rare instances. Kentaro Hiyama, a top advertising executive, discovers he is expecting a child one day. His partner, Aki Seto, never anticipated becoming a mother, thus the two are taken aback by the unexpected turn of events.
Kentaro will be scrutinized by the corporation and society as a pregnant guy, and he will draw light on the difficulties that pregnant women suffer. Faced with many of the issues that come with modern pregnancy and childbirth, the two will have to face reality and make the ultimate decision of whether or not to have a kid.

The main characters for the series are:
Takumi Saitoh as Kentaro Hiyama: A 32-year-old high-paid executive who finds pregnant out of the blue. He decides to keep the child in order to influence people's opinions about male pregnancy.
Juri Ueno as Aki Seto: Kentaro's fiancée and a 30-year-old freelance journalist who begins to ponder the idea of motherhood.
Joining them are Mariko Tsutsui, Ryo Iwamatsu, Kazuya Takahashi, Shohei Uno, Maho Yamada, Lily Franky, Gaku Hosokawa, Kou Maehara, Yusaku Mori, Ai Yamamoto, Shima Ise, Yukiko Shinohara, Atsushi Hashimoto, Yuriko Ono, Mai Kiryu, Shigeru Saiki, Toshie Negishi.
‘He's Expecting’ Production Details
The series will be co-directed by Yuko Hakoda and Takeo Kikuchi. Netflix will produce the series, with production handled by TV Tokyo and Aoi Pro.
The series' producers are Yuriko Mamiya (TV Tokyo), Yu Ota (TV Tokyo), and Tsutomu Hirabayashi (AOI Pro), with Netflix's content acquisition manager Shinichi Takahashi serving as the executive.
