ICE Officers Killed a Woman in the United States
In the city of Minneapolis, USA, officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducting an operation targeting immigrants, fatally shot a woman who was observing and protesting the operation. While President Donald Trump defended the incident as 'self-defense,' Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota stated that he had issued a readiness order to the National Guard to ensure safety in Minnesota.
In the United States, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) police, frequently in the news for their operations against immigrants, have killed a mother of three.

In her initial written statement to the U.S. media following the incident, Tricia McLaughlin, Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, claimed that the woman in question was shot as she was 'trying to run over a police officer.'
Subsequently, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem asserted in her statement that a woman was 'attempting to crush' ICE officers and 'struck them with her vehicle,' justifying that 'one of our officers acted swiftly and defensively, firing his weapon to protect himself and those around him.'
On the other hand, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz expressed his disagreement with Noem's account in a post on the social platform of U.S.-based company X.
Walz rejected the claim that the woman had 'used her vehicle as a weapon' before being shot and killed by an ICE officer, advising, 'I've seen the video. Don't believe this propaganda machine.'
Trump defended the ICE officers.

US President Donald Trump has made remarks about an American woman targeted by ICE officers, via his account on the US-based Truth Social platform.
Describing the incident in which the woman was killed as 'horrific,' Trump stated, 'The woman who was screaming in the incident was clearly a professional provocateur. She drove the car deliberately and ruthlessly towards the ICE officer, who appears to have fired at her in self-defense.'
Trump claimed that the 'radical left' was responsible for the incident in which the woman lost her life to a bullet fired by an ICE officer, alleging that this group targets officers working on immigration issues.
In the conclusion of his message, the US President reiterated his support for ICE officers.
Minnesota State Governor Tim Walz has played his National Guard card.

ABD'nin Minnesota Eyaleti Valisi Tim Walz, Göçmenlik ve Gümrük Muhafaza (ICE) polislerinin yerel kuvvetlerle hiçbir koordinasyon yapmamasını eleştirerek, bir kadının ICE polisi tarafından vurulmasının ardından Minnesota'da güvenliği sağlamak için Ulusal Muhafızlara hazırlanma emri verdiğini belirtti.
Amerikalılara hesap verebilirlik ve adalet arayışında Minneapolis'in yanında durmaları çağrısı yapan Walz, 'Bundan sonra mesajım çok basit, federal hükümetten daha fazla yardıma ihtiyacımız yok, yeterince şey yaptılar.' dedi.
