Hotel Transylvania: Transformania: Is it Worth the Watch?
We're not gonna get into the history of Hotel Transylvania here, and we are also going to steer clear of spoilers. Suffice to say; this cartoon is what it is — some fun, family-friendly entertainment that's meant to be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. If you liked the first three movies, then you'll almost certainly like this one, too!
The voice actors have been replaced.
As you may have heard, this fourth installment of the Hotel Transylvania franchise is getting a whole new cast of voice actors. John Goodman starred as Dracula in the original, while Adam Sandler played his monster-loving sidekick, Jonathan. However, for the new film, they're being replaced by Keegan-Michael Key and Mel Brooks.
So, Stream It or Skip It?
Stream It. Okay, so if you haven't seen the original Hotel Transylvania, go watch it before streaming Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. You've got a fun little kids' flick with Adam Sandler and some humor that'll play well enough with adults.
The animation for this movie is fantastic, and there's a ton of detail that went into it that's wonderful to see in high-definition. The story is cute enough, and there are some laugh-out-loud moments along the way. This is a really fun movie to watch with your family. It's got scares, but they aren't done in an overly terrifying way, and they don't last too long.
There are some gross bits here and there, but they're all pretty silly — like when Mavis accidentally turns Johnny into a frog, and he has to hop around on his hands (and butt) trying to get back to normal.
