Fresh From The Oven: Hulu's Official Trailer for the Original upcoming Film 'Good Luck To You, Leo Grande’

It’s about to get incredibly kinky in Hulu’s soon to be released original drama sex comedy film Good Luck To You, Leo Grande as two-time Academy Award winner Emma Thompson stars alongside newbie Daryl McCormack.

The streaming platform dropped the movie’s official trailer yesterday, showcasing Thompson and McCormack in what seems to be a hotel suite. Thompson, starring as a retired widowed teacher Nancy Stokes narrates her expectations of the meetup to McCormack, playing the part of sex worker Leo Grande.

Nancy feels shy and awkward beside the confident and seductive Leo, who works his charm to help Nancy realize her sexual awakening. Their experience unfolds into pleasure-filled moments as Nancy feels like a sexual goddess considering her past unfulfilling marriage. The two draw an unexpected human connection. 

Good Luck to You, Leo Grande is a wake-up call to women in their 50s and older that they too can enjoy sex, and they deserve to be worshipped despite the wrinkling, greying and jiggling.

Following a simple storyline, the film doesn’t feature much of a cast. Joining the duo are Isabella Laughland and Becky, Les Mabaleka as a delivery person and Carina Lopes and Charlotte Ware as waitresses.

With a month remaining to its debut date on Hulu, the sensual comedy film already has a 97% rating on the Tomatometer, with exceptional reviews from top critics. One positive comment that stood out for me was by Vox's Alissa Wilkinson who says, 'Directed by Sophie Hyde and written by Katy Brand, Good Luck to You, Leo Grande is a frank and good-natured movie about trying to come to terms with yourself, your history and your body, and Thompson and McCormack give subtle generous performances.'
