> 'Fleabag' Creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge Finally Has A New Show on the Way

Though the Prime Video series Fleabag won six Emmys with its second season, creator and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge determined that the show had run its course. Since Fleabag’s end, fans of her hilariously blunt style have pined for what would come next from her. After three years, the wait is over, as Prime Video has finally confirmed a deal with her for a new series.

Who is Phoebe Waller-Bridge?

Though known best for creating and starring in the two seasons of Fleabag, Phoebe Waller-Bridge has appeared numerous times in film, television, and onstage since 2007. The British actress landed some leading roles in plays then quickly dove into television and film in supporting roles. After a substantial part in the Sky1 sitcom The Café, her 2013 one-woman play Fleabag won an award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Since then, she also created the show Crashing, developed the television adaptation that became Killing Eve, and co-wrote No Time To Die, the most recent James Bond movie.

What is Fleabag?

The television version of Fleabag is Waller-Bridge's most significant creative product, scoring her awards and worldwide viewership through Amazon's Prime Video. The show follows a foul-mouthed, promiscuous woman played by Waller-Bridge, who carries around a lot of past trauma and has difficulty navigating life thanks to her unfiltered persona. This series is one of few on Rotten Tomatoes to have a score of 100%.

What is the Premise and Release Date of Waller-Bridge’s New Show?

Everything regarding Phoebe Waller-Bridge's new series is currently not reported, other than that production should begin before the year is up. That means viewers should expect the show to release no earlier than 2023 and will have to wait a few months or more to hear about the premise.
