Başak Karahan Undergoes Emergency Surgery Just Weeks After Giving Birth
Having amassed a broad follower base through her social media content, YouTuber Başak Karahan has been in the spotlight recently due to both her personal life and her journey into motherhood. In September 2025, Karahan tied the knot with Halil Ünlü, her long-time partner, and shortly afterwards, announced her pregnancy. In June of the following year, she experienced the joy of becoming a mother for the first time as she welcomed her son, Kuzey. However, mere weeks after giving birth, Karahan caused concern among her fans due to a health issue she encountered.
In September 2025, Başak Karahan tied the knot with Halil Ünlü, her companion of approximately five years, in a modest ceremony held in Antalya.
After their marriage, the couple delighted their followers with a romantic announcement in December that they were expecting a baby.
Karahan, who frequently shared her pregnancy journey on her social media account, kept her followers informed about every development. The couple named their son Kuzey, who was born on June 1, 2026. Even after becoming a mother, Karahan continued to share her experiences with heartfelt posts. However, a recent post from Karahan has caused some concern.
About a month after giving birth, Basak Karahan went to the hospital for a routine check-up, only to encounter an unexpected health issue.
Karahan explained that she had planned to spend time with her friends after a doctor's check-up, but the day unfolded quite differently. Following detailed examinations due to her fever that spiked in the night, it was discovered that a small piece of the placenta had remained in her uterus after childbirth.
The doctors determined that the said piece had adhered to a fibroid in her uterus and hence, was not detected during childbirth. Due to the increased risk of infection and complaints of high fever, it was decided to promptly proceed with surgery for the young influencer.
Before the operation, Başak Karahan addressed her followers from her hospital room and described her experience with the following words:
'I got all dolled up this morning. I was going to go out after the doctor's check-up. Something unexpected happened. I'm being taken into surgery. My temperature rose, we feared infection. A piece of the placenta remained inside me, it's stuck to the fibroid. That needs to be removed.'
In her post, Karahan mentioned that her spirits were high before the surgery and also added a note to her followers saying, 'See you in an hour.'
However, approximately 21 hours after this post made before the surgery, there has been no new health update from either Başak Karahan or her close circle.
The silence on her social media accounts has caused concern among her followers. Numerous users have left get-well-soon messages under the post, and an update regarding the young influencer's health condition is eagerly awaited.
