Baby Ali Atilla is Poised to Enter the Medical Literature
In Bursa, the second child of the couple, Murat Tunç and Ece Bircan, baby Ali Atilla, is astonishing everyone who sees him. Born at a weight of 6 kilograms 150 grams and a length of 59 centimeters, Ali Atilla left both his family and healthcare professionals in awe. It has been announced that baby Ali Atilla is in very good health.
Born in the Inegol district of Bursa, Ali Atilla is on the verge of making his mark in the world of literature.
Ali Atilla, who was born at 37 weeks via cesarean section, was given extra care during his birth process by the doctor and medical team. While the average weight for a natural birth is around 33.5 kilograms, Ali Atilla's weight was almost double. Post-birth checks confirmed that the baby's health was good.
Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist Dr. İbrahim Yaşa said, 'The baby was under my supervision. He was born a few days ago. It was a challenging monitoring process as the baby was gaining weight very quickly. We delivered a baby boy weighing 6 kilograms and 150 grams. According to the 20242025 screenings, he is the largest baby in Turkey. Last year, a 6-kilogram baby in Spain made headlines across Europe. A few months ago, a baby weighing 5 kilograms and 250 grams born in one of our eastern provinces caused quite a sensation. Our baby was also a 37-week-old infant. He is a candidate to be recorded in medical literature. We admitted the mother to the hospital for a couple of days, but when her pains started to increase, we decided to perform a cesarean section, even though it was 3 weeks earlier than the normal delivery date.'
"We actually knew it all along"
Father Murat Bircan said, 'We're grateful. We're happy and we want to thank all our pediatricians. We're also thankful to our gynecologist, Dr. Ibrahim, and our pediatrician, Dr. Kahraman. We're relieved and happy, thank God.'
Mother Ece Bircan, on the other hand, stated, 'We were actually expecting it because it was clear from the ultrasound that he was gaining weight and growing fast every week, every month. Dr. Ibrahim was telling us, but of course, while we were expecting around 5 kilos, his birth weight of 6 kilos and 150 grams surprised us. Thank God he's healthy, which is a wonderful thing. Hopefully, it continues this way.'
