‘After We Fell’ Releases on Netflix This Week

Prepare for an evening night in as ‘After We Fell’ releases on Netflix this Monday, January 17. 

‘After We Fell’ is the third film in the After franchise based on the books by New York Times bestselling author, Anna Todd. It is a 2021 American romantic drama film initially released last September 1, but will now be joining other romantic drama hits in the American streaming platform, Netflix.

‘After We Fell’ is based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Anna Todd. The film is directed by Castille Landon, from a screenplay by Sharon Soboil. 

‘After We Fell’ is the third installment in the After film series, following After, which was released in 2019. This was followed by the second film, After We Collided, released in 2020.

The film tells the story of lovers Tessa Young and Hardin Scott. As Tessa prepares to leave for her job in Seattle, his father arrives along with revelations about Hardin's family. Will this eventually threaten the couple's relationship?

The filming for ‘After We Fell’ began in Sofia, Bulgaria, in September 2020, along with its sequel ‘After Ever Happy.’ 

The characters of Kimberley, Christian Vance, Carol Young, Landon Gibson and Karen Scott were recast probably because of travel restrictions on the country (due to COVID-19 pandemic) or other prior commitments of the actors.

Castille Landon directed the film using a script written by Sharon Soboil. ‘After We Fell’ was produced by Jennifer Gibgot, Brian Pitt, Wattpad's Aron Levitz, Benjamin Dherbecourt, CalMaple's Mark Canton, and Courtney Solomon.
