Yeraltı Falls To Third As Fenerbahçe-Liverpool Tops Turkish TV Ratings On November 4
Turkish dramas had a hard Wednesday night on November 4. Fenerbahçe's UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool, shown live on TRT 1, finished first on all three ratings lists, and Yeraltı, which set its season high a week earlier, fell behind its rival Sevdan Bir Ateş.
Yeraltı dropped sharply on all three lists a week after its season high.
Yeraltı, a Medyapım production starring Deniz Can Aktaş, Devrim Özkan and Uraz Kaygılaroğlu, returned to NOW for its second season on October 7 with a 6.98 Total rating. It climbed to 8.34 on October 28, its highest of the season, passing Sevdan Bir Ateş and leading Wednesday night in Total and ABC1.
Episode 5 on November 4 reversed that. Yeraltı scored 6.62 in Total, 4.65 in AB and 6.59 in ABC1, finishing third on every list. It lost 1.72 points in Total and 2.15 points in both AB and ABC1, which left its Total rating below the 6.98 of its season opener.
Sevdan Bir Ateş also lost ground but moved back ahead of Yeraltı.
Show TV's Sevdan Bir Ateş, with Murat Ünalmış and Özge Özacar as Mirza and Leyla, regained the lead among dramas on all three lists. Episode 9 scored 7.05 in Total, 5.55 in AB and 6.79 in ABC1, placing second behind the match each time.
The series still fell 0.84 points in Total, 1.03 in ABC1 and 1.95 in AB, its biggest drop. It stayed above the 6.74 Total low of its seventh episode, and its lead over Yeraltı came to 0.43 points in Total and 0.90 in AB.
The Fenerbahçe-Liverpool match drew more than double the rating of its closest rival.
According to figures reported by Birgün, the match scored a 14.72 Total rating with a 35.52 percent audience share. Yeni Ankara reported a 17.94 rating in 20+ABC1, and the match also ranked first in AB.
Müge Anlı ile Tatlı Sert placed fourth in Total and ABC1. The Wednesday dramas also lost the top spot to Champions League nights two weeks running in mid-October, then shared the lead between them on the match-free night of October 28.
