Particularly after the birth of her daughter Siena Leyla in 2019, the renowned model's life took a dramatic turn, as she became the talk of the town due to her motherhood and the tumultuous period she experienced with her ex-husband.
Currently, Şahin had been embroiled in a fierce custody and abuse battle involving mutual accusations with Pedro de Noronha, the Portuguese businessman who is the father of her 6.5-year-old daughter, Siena Leyla.
She had alleged that Noronha repeatedly physically assaulted her in front of their daughter, subjected her to psychological abuse, and threatened to kidnap their daughter and demand a ransom. Şahin, who refused to let her child see her father, had to deal with a lawsuit filed by Noronha for a long time. After many years, she managed to gain custody of her daughter, give her own surname to her daughter, and obtain a restraining order against her ex-husband.

Emphasizing that her story with her daughter Siena is not as it appears from the outside, Tülin Şahin stated, 'Honestly, I struggled so much. I won't go into much detail, and I'd prefer you not to probe too much either. As you know, the whole of Turkey is aware of my situation. Due to certain circumstances, I couldn't fully enjoy my pregnancy and the period after it, as most mothers do, and it's still ongoing. This was the only thing that put a strain on me. While other mothers were preoccupied with thoughts of creating albums or deciding what color to paint the nursery, I had entirely different problems to contend with, and they persist. Our story is not as it seems from the outside. Looking back, I regretfully couldn't experience the things other mothers did. It's not a feeling I can fully describe, but thankfully, I have full faith in our state, our law, our justice. We are able to live our lives in a protective manner. I had to endure a stress that I shouldn't have had to, during a period that should have been enjoyable, and it's still ongoing. I don't show it to anyone, but I guess I'm boiling inside. I have a child that I need to protect. No mother would feel this intense need to protect her child unless she sensed such a great danger. Mothers will understand, I'm struggling to find the words. No mother would go into this level of protection unless she felt an immense danger,' she expressed.
She also added, 'It was meant to be this way, God has granted me Siena in this manner. Siena gives me strength. Every night before she goes to sleep, she says 'Mom, everything will be just fine'.'
