'This is Us' Star Revealed as the Newest Cast on Disney+ and Marvel’s ‘Ironheart’

Marvel has an upcoming series, Ironheart, which is in the works for Disney+. The company has recently signed up a new cast member, This is Us star Lyric Ross to join coming-of-age Dominique Thorne and Anthony Ramos.

Ironheart will feature Riri Williams as a new superhero (Ironheart), a 15-year-old engineering student and a super-genius. Sounds familiar right? Well, Riri gets a scholarship to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she invents body armor similar to the Iron Man suit using stolen material. You see where we’re going with this now! When the campus security follows her, she flees while in the suit.

Dominique Thorne stars as the show’s lead Riri Williams ‘Ironheart' while Ross is said to star as William's best friend. Ramos' role is yet to be disclosed through rumors suggesting he could be a villain.

Ross also starred in Rogers Park (2017), a dramedy film that reaped a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating. She also appeared in Canal Street (2019) alongside Empire’s Bryshere Y. Gray.

Thorne featured in the romance drama film, If Beale Street Could Talk (2018) and 2021's Judas and the Black Messiah. Both films scored above 90% Rotten Tomatoes, making them a perfect watch in your free time.
