Istanbul, the Capital of Finance: Half of the money is in the megacity. Which provinces hold the highest deposits?

Approximately 44% of the total deposits in Turkey are located solely in Istanbul. This mega city, which hosts a total accumulation of 12.27 trillion TL, is followed by Ankara with 3.83 trillion TL and Izmir with 1.39 trillion TL. The primary reason Istanbul holds such a significant portion isn't merely due to individual savings; it is also attributed to the fact that the headquarters of major conglomerates, exporters, and financial institutions are situated in this city. An intriguing piece of data is that the total deposit amount in Istanbul is approximately 2,000 times that of Bayburt, which is at the bottom of the list.

Cities with the highest deposits:

Istanbul, Ankara, Overseas, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa, Kocaeli, Adana, Mersin, Muğla.

Cities with the lowest deposits:

Bayburt, Hakkari, Ardahan, Kilis, Gümüşhane, Muş, Siirt, Bitlis, Iğdır, Tunceli.

Industrial and tourist cities are at the pinnacle.

The cities that are the driving forces of industry and tourism are leading the way in the ranking of provinces with the highest deposit volume. Antalya, with 836 billion TL, Bursa with 629 billion TL, and Kocaeli with 485 billion TL, have secured their places at the top of the list. Muğla, a paradise for tourists, stands out as one of the rare provinces that outperforms the Turkish average, both in total deposits and with a per capita savings of 327,962 TL.

On the flip side, Hakkari, Şırnak, Muş, and Şanlıurfa are recorded as the provinces with the lowest per capita savings.
