Şeyma Subaşı's Sinking Cafe Came Back to the Agenda with a TikTok Video
A TikTok user shared a post about the famous café owned by Şeyma Subaşı in Bebek, which she had to close down shortly after its opening. Subaşı had previously complained about the high rent of the café, stating, 'We're paying a rental fee that's unheard of anywhere else, simply because it's located in the most beautiful part of Bebek. The rent is approximately 80,000 TL.' She also expressed her dissatisfaction with customers who didn't order much, lamenting, 'They sit for five hours with just one smoothie. A smoothie that costs 20 TL...'

Şeyma Subaşı, a name frequently buzzing in the realm of social media, had previously made headlines with the opening of her upscale café in the posh neighborhood of Bebek, years ago.

The establishment, which was opened with great enthusiasm in 2018, had quickly become a topic of debate due to its menu prices. Unable to withstand the pressure, Subaşı was forced to shut down the place. He explained the reason with the following words:
'Indeed, our rent is very high. We have a rental fee that does not exist anywhere else, and we are paying it. Because we are located in the most beautiful part of Bebek... And we don't sell alcohol. It's a place with a rent of about 80,000 TL. They sit for 5 hours with a smoothie. A smoothie for 20 TL... They sit and stare at me. The money is coming in, but nothing is going into my pocket. In my opinion, exiting at the right time is as important as entering into something.'
Recently, a TikTok user brought the place back into the spotlight by sharing the venue that Subaşı had been forced to close.
