Prime Video’s ‘Kick Like Tayla’ Adds to the Plethora of Sports Films across the World
Amazon Prime Video is well-known for its outstanding ability to deliver the best sports films worldwide. The streaming platform is at it again with its most recent accomplishment, Kick Like Tayla, a documentary film following the existence and career of AFLW icon Tayla Harris.
Launching this Friday, May 27th, Kick Like Tayla offers unparalleled access to Tayla Harris’ existence. It studies her rise as an AFLW star, her triumph as a boxer, and the social media altercation surrounding the renowned picture of her in 2019.
Tayla Harris' Story
The one-hour documentary kicks off with Harris’ victory as a junior footballer, followed by her entry in the Brisbane Lions signing in the first AFLW season. Harris’ shift to Carlton came with social media argument about the famed photo of her knocking for a goal, followed by abuse and sexism she had to handle after that.
“I’m happy to be a part of this recent Prime Video achievement where I can present the private side of me. You will know what makes me great, how my game day goes, exercising for fights, and more.” Harris mentioned.
Kick Like Tayla will help fans connect with Harris in her legendary sporting career and her unapologetic fight for women’s rights.
The Film's Production
This film is a creation of Amazon Prime Video in cooperation with Den of Martians and the Australian Football League (AFL). Gil Marsden is the producer and director alongside Beth Wallis of AFL as a producer.
