Peacock Releases a Teaser for its Original Mystery Series ‘Poker Face’

On October 26 Peacock dropped the teaser video for its upcoming original mystery series Poker Face, hinting at an all-star ensemble cast including Lil Rel Howery, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Adrien Brody, Chloe Sevigny and many more.

The teaser trailer begins with Blonde's Adrien Brody's character telling the lead Charlie, starring Natasha Lyonne, 'Hello Ms Cale. I'm happy to finally meet you. You've got this gift. Always knowing the truth.'

Charlie then laments about her unwarranted gift saying, “I only know if something is a lie. The real trick of it is to figure out why.” She tries to solve different murder cases while encountering prominent Hollywood figures.

The protagonist, Charlie, has a supernatural ability to tell if someone is lying. She journeys with her Plymouth Barracuda automobile, stopping at various destinations to solve mysterious crimes. 

Poker Face is a case-of-the-week series, meaning that every episode focuses on a separate crime.

Apart from Natasha Lyonne and Adrien Brody, Poker Face hosts the following stars: Colton Ryan, Megan Suri, Brandon Michael Hall, Scott Vogel, Elijah George, Shefik and Robert Loftus. 

We also have Pedro Hollywood, Elsa Kennedy, Togbu Norris, Erik McKay, Nick Nolte, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ron Perlman, Stephanie Hsu and Tim Blake Nelson.

The Peacock series is created by Rian Johnson and executive produced by Natasha Lyonne. Nora and Lilla Zuckerman serve as co-showrunners.

The 10-part series is scheduled for a January 23 2023 release. The first four episodes will drop on the premiere date, with the rest following a weekly release. 

Peacock has a wide selection of mystery crime shows that you can watch in the meantime as you wait for Poker Face’s debut. 

Among them is the miniseries A Friend of the Family, consisting of nine episodes, which premiered on October 6 2022. The series stars famous faces like Jake Lacy, Colin Hanks, Lio Tipton, Anna Paquin and McKenna Grace.
