Paramount+ Welcomes the Second Season of The Comedy Drama Show ‘The Game’

What's winter without the second season of Mara Brock Akil's The Game? Paramount+ recently announced that season two of The Game would launch in the streamer mid-December, continuing where its predecessor left off. 

The Game is a comedy-drama show based on BET and The CW's 2006 series of the same title. 

Season one launched on Paramount+ in November 2021, accumulating 6.7 out of 10 stars on IMDb. Paramount+ renewed the show for the second season in February 2022.

What's the Plotline for ‘The Game’ Season Two?

The Game revolves around a set of fashionable players from the Black Community as they navigate through favoritism, sexism, and racism while fighting for love, good luck, respect, and popularity in Las Vegas. 

In the upcoming ten episodes, The Game will see its players and their relationships as they strive to embrace constant change.

It's been two weeks since Paramount Plus shared the official trailer for The Game season two. The trailer runs for 1 minute and 38 seconds, showcasing the everyday challenges of being an American footballer from the black community.

‘The Game' Producers?

The Game is created by Mara Brock Akil, who also chief produces alongside James Bitonti, Jordan McMahon, Tom Russo, Devon Gregory, Kelsey Grammer, Salim Akil, and Michael Platt. The show's producers are Hosea Chanchez, Patrick L. Coleman, Bobbi S. Luther, Ken Farrington, and Dan Dugan. 

The Game is a co-project of CBS Studios, Grammnet Productions, Akil Productions, and Inphiniti Entertainment.

Who's in ‘The Game’ Season Two?

The upcoming season of The Game stars Hosea Chanchez portraying Malik Wright, Adriyan Rae playing Brittany Pitts, Toby Sanderman depicting Garrett Odongo, and Baughn Hebron impersonating  Jamison Field. 

Other characters include Analisa Velez acting as Raquel Navarro and Wendy R. Robinson representing Tasha Mack.

When is ‘The Game’ Season Two Coming Out?

The Game's second season will officially launch on Thursday, December 15th 2022, exclusively on Paramount+. 

It will land with two episodes, followed by weekly releases totaling ten incredible episodes. Paramount+ charges from as low as a $4.99 monthly subscription.
