New Requirements for Climbing Mount Everest
Everest stands as the tallest mountain in the world. As a result, every year, hundreds of people seek permission to scale its heights. However, this ambition can lead to adverse outcomes, especially when inexperienced individuals are involved. Consequently, Nepal has introduced a new prerequisite for those who wish to conquer Everest.
New conditions have been introduced for climbing Mount Everest.

Every year, over 400 climbers apply to scale Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. However, the lack of experience among these individuals can lead to unfortunate outcomes. To mitigate such situations, the Tourism Department of Nepal has introduced a new regulation for those wishing to ascend Everest: they must have prior experience climbing mountains of at least 7,000 meters.
Following approval from the House of Representatives, the bill will come into effect with the signature of Nepal's President Ram Chandra Poudel. The new legislation also includes provisions to maintain cleanliness on the mountains and to support the welfare of guides.
Under this new regulation, a $4,000 garbage deposit will be collected from climbers, which will be refunded upon presentation of a cleanliness certificate after the climb.
