Bride Flees With 5 Million TL Jewelry After 3-Day Wedding
In the Milas district of Muğla, a young couple's joy was short-lived after they tied the knot in a grand wedding that upheld centuries-old traditions. The Ateşoğlu family, residing in Çomakdağ Kızılağaç Neighborhood, introduced their son Mustafa Ateşoğlu to Mamura Burkhanova, a 28-year-old Uzbek national, with the intention of marrying him off through intermediaries. The wedding, which lasted for three days and three nights, even included traditional oil wrestling. However, Burkhanova vanished without a trace, taking with her 5 million liras worth of jewelry.

According to a report by İbrahim Ayral from Sabah, the wedding festivities lasted for three days and nights. The celebration also included oil wrestling matches, a tradition dating back 500 years. Famous champions from Kırkpınar, including Recep Kara, Abdullah Güngör, Feyzullah Aktürk, Yalçın Üncül, Bekir Can Özturgut, Cenk İldem, Okan Yavaş, and Salih Erinç, participated in the wrestling events.

Shortly after the wedding, the bride, Mamura Burkhanova, mysteriously disappeared. Upon inspecting their home, the family discovered that jewelry worth 5 million lira had also vanished.
It was later found out that Burkhanova had absconded with the jewelry, leading the Ateşoğlu family to file a complaint.
Posters were printed for the wedding. Father Ateşoğlu stated, "I spent 1 million 500 thousand TL just for the wrestling."
Baba Mustafa Atesoglu, who spent a whopping 1.5 million TL just to organize the wrestling matches, stated, 'I'm not chasing after the money I've spent. I'm pursuing my honor and pride.'
