Netflix’s ‘The Strays’ Loading! What is the Horror Thriller About?

While many people want romance dramas and comedies in preparation for the upcoming Valentine’s Day, Netflix is striving to cover nearly all genres. 

The streaming platform recently uploaded the official trailer for, The Strays, its forthcoming horror-thriller starring Ashley Madekwe. 

Netflix announced the movie in mid-2021, beginning its filming in September to November in London, Suffolk, and Berkshire. The Strays joins other horror movies on Netflix, including His House, Midnight Mass, I’m Thinking of Ending Things, and Fear Street Part Three: 1666.

The Strays revolves around a woman, Neve, who leads a calm life in the suburbs after acquiring a job at a private school. Neve suddenly begins to doubt herself after encountering a strange man and woman. 

Everyone around her, including her friends and family, barely believes her puzzling story.

Netflix uploaded the official trailer for The Strays roughly six days ago via its main YouTube Channel. 

In 2 minutes and 12 seconds, the trailer glances at Neve’s home, followed by a mysterious encounter with two different persons, a woman, and a man. 

The perfect life suddenly becomes an ideal lie, threatening Neve’s life, while no one believes her story.

The Strays is directed by Nathaniel Martello-White, who also serves on the screenplay, alongside producers Rob Watson, Tristan Goligher, and Valentina Brazzini. 

Nathaniel wrote the film, with Mark Towns as the film editor.

The Strays presents Ashley Madekwe in the primary role of Neve alongside Justin Salinger, Michael Warburton (Kenneth), Caroline Martin (Jessie), Rob Jarvis (Robert), Bukky Bakray (Dione), Maria Almeida (Mary), and Samuel P. Small (Sebastian). 

Others are Alfredo Tavares, Izzy Billingham (Emily), Vanessa Bailey (Ellie), and Rosie Akerman (Sonia).

The Strays will debut exclusively on Netflix on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, running for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Netflix shared the release date and trailer, accompanied by a caption. “Perfect wife. Perfect li(f)e.” via its verified Twitter account. 

Other branches, such as Netflix UK, Ireland, and France, have shared the premiere news regarding the forthcoming film.
