John Mosley Reprises His Coaching Role in ‘Last Chance U: Basketball’ Season Two

It’s been nearly two years since Netflix presented season one of Last Chance U: Basketball, a sports documentary chiefly produced by Joe LaBracio and others. 

The series was renewed for season two in September 2021 after garnering impressive scores from every corner. Last Chance U: Basketball scored a 100% average Tomatometer, with a 86% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, 8.3/10 stars on IMDb, and a 90% on Metacritic.

Last Chance U: Basketball generally follows a group of young men striving to make it in their basketball careers. Season two will take place in the East Los Angeles College, similar to its predecessor, featuring talented basketballers.

Everyone has unique goals while playing for the ELAC team, as some hope to make it to the National Basketball Association. In contrast, others hope to take a step higher from their local team to the division level. 

Last Chance U: Basketball showcases a journey full of personal challenges, determinations, and victory with the super hardworking coach, John Mosley.

Netflix uploaded the official trailer for Last Chance U: Basketball on its main YouTube Channel approximately three weeks ago. 

The trailer showcases a glance at a player from the ELAC team explaining why they love basketball, followed by different emotions during and after field hours. 

Some hope to acquire scholarships, reach the NBA, and satisfy their coach’s heart desires.

Last Chance U: Basketball is chiefly produced by Joe LaBracio, James D. Stern, and Lucas Smith, alongside co-chief producers Dane Lillegard, Andrew Field, and Adam Leibowitz. 

Boardwalk Pictures, One Potato Productions, Endgame Entertainment, and GQ Studios are the companies behind the show’s success.

John Mosley will maintain the coach’s desk alongside Ishaiah Garauba, Ben Grosskopf, Deshaun Highler, and Joe Hampton.

Season two of Last Chance U: Basketball will debut on Tuesday, December 13th, exclusively on Netflix, with eight episodes running for sixty minutes each. 

The series has been rated 13+, meaning parents should stay watchful of their young ones.
