Here’s Everything You Need to Know About the 17th Season of the Reality Competition Series ‘America’s Got Talent’

America’s Got Talent is back again to wow the audience and judges with unique gifts in its latest 17th season. The first episode of AGT season 17 aired on NBC Tuesday, May 31, with the next episode set to premiere on June 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Following the customary routine, AGT kicks off with pre-recorded auditions where viewers meet all kinds of acts and see how the judges respond to them. The six weeks of live performances are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 9, followed by a result show on Wednesdays. 

Once again, the Everybody Hates Chris alum Terry Crews hosts the show’s 17th season. This is his fourth season serving as the host. No changes to the judging panel as AGT brings back Simon Cowell, the show's creator, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel.

You can catch the latest episode of AGT on Peacock Premium or Hulu with Live TV, having launched on Wednesday, June 1. Following suit, the show's future episodes will land on the streaming platforms a day after airing on NBC.

America’s Got Talent first premiered on June 21 2006, on NBC and has since been a success for the television network, garnering around 10 million viewers each season. The show has also spawned two spin-off competition series America's Got Talent: The Champions, which debuted in January 2019, and America's Got Talent: Extreme, which landed in February this year.
