‘Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure’: Details About Netflix’s Upcoming Adorable Animated Kids Series

Netflix has pampered its kids-family and adventure category with plenty of projects to ensure its young people’s club remains more active than ever. 

The streaming platform recently revealed an addition to the sector with Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure, an animation show set to debut this December.

Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure follows an egg yolk and a newly-hatched chick who isn’t yet ready to let go of her eggshell. The pair leaves the refrigerator and goes on a mission to search for their mother, but Gudetama doesn’t seem to be in for anything except laziness. 

Having directly opposite characters, Gudetama and her pair meet other eggs across their adventure, watching how each one is cooked. The journey gets frightening when Gudetama starts to worry about his fate as his expiration days soon approach. What’s next for the little egg yolk?

Netflix shared the official trailer for season one of Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure nearly two months ago via its Netflix Anime YouTube Channel. 

The trailer runs for 1 minute and 48 seconds, showcasing the chaotic adventure of Gudetama and her chicken sister, Shakipiyo, as they search for their mother. 

Several risks surround their find-mother mission and adventurous moments as Gudetama’s spoil date draws nearer.

Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure is directed by Motonori Sakakibara, alongside Yoichi Kato as the composer. The series is a project of OLM in cooperation with L’ESPACE FILM.

The main cast list for Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure comprises Shunsuke Takeuchi playing Gudetama, Seiran Fukushima portraying Shakipiyo, Kerstin Julia Dietrich impersonating Gudetama’s mum, Shimofuri Myojo representing Tamago Sushi, and Soshina depicting Guretama. Other characters include Seiya, Serena Motola, and Akiyoshi Nakao.

Season one of Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure will officially debut on Tuesday, December 13th, with ten amazing episodes.
