Emotional Breakdown: Two Streamers Cry Uncontrollably During Final Scene of Turkish Movie Ayla
Cinema is a universal language, bearing witness to countless cultures, and occasionally, we encounter productions that manage to unite everyone, regardless of language, religion, or race, at the same emotional junction. One such production is the film 'Ayla', one of the most touching works in Turkish cinema history, adapted from a true story.
Two broadcasters who watched the film 'Ayla' couldn't hold back their tears during the final scene. The film, which tells the heart-rending bond between a little girl caught in the middle of the Korean War and Turkish Sergeant Süleyman Dilbirliği, and their half-century-long separation, moved not only us but also the broadcasters to tears in the final scene.
You can watch it from here;
Ayla is not just the tale of a soldier, but a narrative of humanity and compassion.
In the grim days of the Korean War, Turkish Sergeant Major Süleyman Dilbirliği stumbles upon a tiny Korean girl, utterly alone and teetering on the brink of death. He christens her 'Ayla', assumes a fatherly role, and transforms the battlefield into a safe haven for her. However, when the war concludes, due to the stringent legal obligations of the era, he is unable to bring Ayla back to Turkey and is forced to leave her behind in Korea, tears streaming down his face. The promise he makes as they part, 'I swear, I will return one day,' is etched into Sergeant Major Süleyman's heart as an enduring longing for a full 60 years. This profound separation, lasting more than half a century, finally comes to an end when the two, their hair now silvered with age, embrace once again in a park.
The final scene, also captured in real life, is one of the most emotional moments of the film. Understandably, both broadcasters could not hold back their tears in the face of this scene.
They also watched the authentic video of Ayla and Sergeant Süleyman, their eyes welled up with tears.
