Thanks to these new age verification tools, restrictions can be placed on applications that governments have banned for children under the age of 18. To download these banned applications onto a phone, age verification or parental approval will be required.
Users will not be able to download age-restricted applications from the App Store unless they verify that they are adults. Initially, Apple will roll out these new age verification tools in Australia, Brazil, and Singapore. In the U.S., they will be gradually introduced in accordance with new laws.
